4,700 units of blood donated
PANO – Around 1,500 people donated more than 1,700 units of blood at a blood donation festival held in Ho Chi Minh on July 7.
The event was part of the “Red Journey – Connecting Vietnamese blood” movement, jointly organized by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the Vietnam National Assembly Television Channel. The program is scheduled to be organized in 18 provinces and cities across the country.
The movement has so far received more than 4,700 units of blood from donors in Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Long An, and Ho Chi Minh City.
After Ho Chi Minh City, the organizers will continue their journey to Dong Nai and then to Northern provinces.
