Blood donation drive kicks off in Ca Mau province
PANO - The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT), in association with the Ca Mau provincial People's Committee, launched this year's "Red Journey" program themed "Connecting Vietnamese bloodline" on July 1st at the cultural park of Ca Mau Cape in Dat Mui commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province.

The program saw the participation of 140 volunteers and more than 30,000 local volunteers in 20 provinces and cities across the country.
Accordingly, the "Red Journey" of the South will kick-start from Dat Mui commune and then travel to 18 provinces. Meanwhile, the northern "Red Journey" program will depart on July 10 and go through 10 provinces and cities. These two groups will gather in Hanoi on July 27.
At least 45,000 units of blood are expected to be collected during this year’s program.
