PANO – The International Red Cross Committee, the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS), and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)’s Red Cross Society held a ceremony for World Red Cross Day and Red Crescent Day. The “Protecting the Red Cross Emblem” campaign was also launched on May 6th in HCMC.

At the ceremony

Under the theme “Red Cross Society – Everywhere for everyone”, the program invites people to do charity work anywhere and anytime.

In the past, the VRCS made great contributions to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies movements.

Vietnam now has 400,000+ Red Cross volunteers for first aid, blood donation, healthcare checkups, and disease and disaster prevention.

At the ceremony, a parade for the “Protecting the Red Cross Emblem” campaign was held, along with other activities.
