The competition is the biggest annual vocational education and skills excellence event in the world for U23 competitors, except for four skills for U25. They will demonstrate technical abilities in individuals and groups to execute specific tasks for which they study and/or perform in their workplace.

This year’s event will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil from August 5th to 17th, with the participation of nearly 1,200 people from 60 countries and territories worldwide.

The Vietnamese candidates will compete in 14 skills, including carpentry, brick-laying, plumbing, electro-mechanics, web designing, CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine operating, mechanical engineering design CAD, and IT software solutions, and more.

Vietnam has sent contestants to the event five times but has yet to win any medals. Previously, the Vietnamese team won 18 Medallions of Excellence.
