Vice State President asks university to boost education quality
PANO – Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City on September 23 marked the 20th anniversary of its foundation in the presence of Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.

Ton Duc Thang University is a public university under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. After 20 years of construction and growth, the university has become a large education and scientific and technological center in Vietnam to train professional human resources. At present, the university is home to nearly 20,000 students.
On behalf of leaders of the Party and State, the Vice State President spoke highly of the university’s achievements over the past time, and asked the university to uphold these results to continuously improve education and training quality, lecturers’ professionalism, and youth union and Party building work as well.
The Vice State President handed over an emulation flag from the Government to the university and also presented 20 scholarships to the university’s poor students with outstanding study records.
Additionally, Ton Duc Thang University also received a friendship order from the Lao Government for its contributions to Lao education and training development.
