Vatican Under-Secretary of State for Relations with States, Monsignor Pietro Parolin, said he was impressed with religious activities in Vietnam while speaking to the Vietnam News Agency on March 11, the last day of his working visit to Vietnam, which began on March 5.

He told the VNA that the Vatican representatives attended ceremonies held at the parishes they visited.

”We witnessed great faith everywhere. We witnessed young parishioners in liveable parishes desiring to contribute to the nation's material and spiritual development”, the Vatican dignitary said. He added that he was also impressed with the ceremonies he attended.

Talking about the results of the Vatican delegation' annual visit to Vietnam, Pietro Parolin said his delegation had held dialogues with the Government, with a focus on developing relations between Vietnam and the Vatican.

The Vatican officials also visited parishes and met with religious communities in Vietnam.

"The visit made an important contribution to promoting dialogues between the Vatican and Vietnam" Monsignor Pietro Parolin commented.
