The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will support Ho Chi Minh City in developing a new urban governance model as well as in public service delivery and infrastructure.
Nguyen Trung Thong, Vice Director of a UNDP-funded project to support public administrative reform (PAR) in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2008-2011 period, told a seminar on November 18 that the aim is to develop a city-wide management information system (MIS) and improve public servants’ performance efficiency.
The project has a total investment capital of more than US$3.6 million with US$3.3 million sourced from the UNDP’s non-refundable official development assistance (ODA) and the remainder from the municipal Government.
