Addressing the event, Politburo member and standing member of the Sub-committee for Documents for the 14th Party Congress Nguyen Van Nen applauded Tay Ninh’s socio-economic development achievements in 2021-2025, showing his hope that the province will uphold its strategic position to become a dynamic and innovative development model in the Southern key economic region.
Following the administrative merger, Tay Ninh needs to adjust its master plan and renew its development mindset, viewing this as a strategic opportunity to establish industrial, commercial, tourism, and high-tech agricultural centers that drive regional connectivity, he noted.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Quyet revealed that Tay Ninh aims to build a dynamic and sustainable economy in the next five years, positioning it as a strategic connectivity hub between the southeastern region and the Mekong Delta, as well as a key gateway for trade exchange with Cambodia.
According to Quyet, the province sets to expand average GRDP growth by 10% - 10.5% per year during the period, with per capita GRDP reaching 8,000 - 8,500 USD by 2030. It targets eliminating all poor households and raising the urbanization rate to 45% - 50%.
Delegates agreed to focus on strategic breakthroughs - administrative reform linked to training and developing a high-quality workforce; advancing science, technology, innovation, digital and green transformation, and a circular economy; and mobilizing all resources to build infrastructure, especially modern and well-connected transport networks linking key development motivation regions.
