The aim of the festival is to introduce hundreds of kinds of Southern fruit, to honour local farmers' achievements and to display fruit-inspired artistic works, contributing to preserving national cultural identities.
A special part of the festival is the floating fruit market with 50 booths selling more than 150 kinds of fruit at prices 20 to 40 percent cheaper than other markets.
The fruit model exhibition is something to be seen at the festival. According to the festval organizers, about 600 fruit models made by artisans across the South have registered to compete.
Notably, dance performances by art troupes from India, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and the host Vietnam will be on stage during the festival.
