PANO - The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union kick-started the Science and Technology Awards for Youths - Golden Ball 2016 at a press conference on August 30 in Hanoi.

The annual award aims to honor young talents in the national construction and development cause, encourage youths to continue studying and applying the advances of science and technologies into production and all other aspects of life, contributing to promoting the nation's industrialization, modernization and international integration while maintaining political stability and security, and social safety.

The jury will select 10 excellent youngsters in the five science and technology fields, including information technology (IT), medicine, biology, environment, and new materials, for this year's awards.

All entries should be sent to the organizing board before October 15, 2016.
