Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong and Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia attended the event.

According to the report delivered by Le Thanh Do, Chairman of the Dien Bien provincial People’s Committee, at the working session, preparations for the celebration of Dien Bien Phu Victory have been implemented according to the set plan. The province has ensured enough accommodation for forces participating in the parade, and meeting the accommodation needs of a large number of tourists. In addition, the province has closely coordinated with ministries, central departments, sectors and functional agencies to successfully organize many practical activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

In his concluding remarks, Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and spoke highly of the great efforts of the central departments, ministers, and branches, as well as the whole province, in overcoming difficulties and well preparing for the celebration of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

He required them to continue to work together to effectively implement the plan for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. They should focus on the rehearsal, final rehearsal and the official celebration; ensure accommodation and food safety for the forces participating in the parade; promote information dissemination about the celebration of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and major national holidays this year; and ensure security and safety for activities before, during, and after the celebration.

Earlier, the delegation visited and presented gifts to forces participating in the upcoming parade. According to Nguyen Trong Nghia, the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory is an important political event of the country in 2024. Therefore, participating collectives and individuals should heighten their responsibility to accomplish their assignments, contributing to the success of the event.
