After considering a proposal from the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat concluded that the ministry’s Party Affairs Committee, active by February 2025, had shown the lack of responsibility in leadership and oversight, allowing the ministry and its certain Party organizations and members to commit violations in drafting and finalizing laws, performing state management functions over food safety. Many officials and Party members at the Vietnam Food Administration were found to have shown degradation in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws on carrying out their duties; and engaged in serious corruption and misconduct over a long period of time.
