The 19th Green Summer campaign,started on July 15th in HCM City with the participation of more than 50,000 youths.

After the launching ceremony, the socalled “green T-shirts soldiers” enthusiastically joined hands in various activities.

The targets of this year’s Green Summer include the planting of 260,000 trees, dredging and cleaning 11 cannels which flow to Saigon river, building 51 houses of friendship, more than 32kms of rural road, 15 concrete bridges, opening 42 classes on practical social skills for teenagers and youths.

Alongside with activities in HCM City and some provinces across Vietnam, these “soldiers” will also join voluntary activities in the neighboring country of Laos.
