PANO - The MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation (MobiFone) held a ceremony on July 1st to release information about its north-south signal transmission line and results of its 4G pilot project and MobiTV services.

At the ceremony, the company stated that the north-south line uses new modern technology and advanced technical solutions of a high security level, contributing to ensuring high-quality and multiple services. It will help reduce its operational costs and therefore, lower service prices.

The corporation also announced the results of testing 4G technology in the three big cities of Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City in May and June. Especially, MobiFone closely worked with world leading technology partners to bring actual experiences in high speed and new technology of 4G network for customers.

Also on this occasion, MobiFone unveiled its MobiTV service. With the new service, MobiFone has officially participated in the pay TV service market in Vietnam. The company targets to have 1 million subscribers of its new TV service in 2016 and become one of the country’s three biggest providers of pay-TV services by 2020.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the company Le Nam Tra said that the event marked an important milestone in the development history of MobiFone, with the position of a Telecommunication Corporation of multi-services and multi-media.

The official launch of the above services was a strategic event and showed the company’s commitment to become a multi-service business specializing in four areas, namely Telecommunications and IT, Television, Distribution and Retail, and Multi-services.
