PANO - The Cam Ha-Hoi An kumquat bonsai festival opened in Cam Ha commune, Hoi An city on January 16th to display about 55,000 pots of kumquat, the favourite bonsai for home decoration by locals in the central region during the Lunar New Year holidays.

The event also aims to honour traditional kumquat bonsai planting skills, local farmers as well as drinks made from kumquat.

According to the Cam Ha Commune People's Committee, a 60ha of kumquat farm generates incomes to about 500 households in the commune, while kumquat bonsai is only reserved for Tet.
