PANO - Deputy Minister of National Defence and Chief of the Vietnam People’s Navy, Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, on April 10th chaired a conference to review the implementation of the “For Beloved Truong Sa Fund”.

 

Over the past three years, under the direct and regular instruction of the Ministry of National Defence, the Steering Board of the “For Beloved Truong Sa Fund”, in association with central and local departments, organs, and authorities have organised information dissemination activities to help troops and Vietnamese people inside and outside the country grasp the importance of seas and islands in the national construction and protection cause. 
As the result, the fund has attracted the active support of troops in the whole army, people across the country, and overseas Vietnamese, making contribution to raising the material and spiritual life of Truong Sa troops and islanders who are firmly protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Addressing the conference, the Admiral affirmed the necessity to promote information dissemination to call upon more assistance from businesses, organs, and individuals for the fund. He asked the steering board to well manage and effectively use the fund and timely reward groups, organizations and individuals with great contributions to it.
