Participants in the campaign focus on popularizing traffic safety, equipping young workers and adolescents with skills to avoid being drowned and to protect themselves from social vices such as theft, robbery and to avoid being tricked by criminals, especially drug-related crimes.
The volunteers would also be involved in building rural concrete roads and in fire prevention and fighting and rescue exercises.
Notably, this year, the organizing panel has set key criteria, works, and programs such as debut for the campaign’s icon and song, introduction of 1,000 documents on fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue, 1,000 VCDs guiding to identify criminals’ tricks, building 6 rural concrete roads, teaching drowning prevention skills for at least 1,000 children, and fire-explosion prevention and self-defense skills for at least 500 young female workers.
On this occasion, the panel handed over six “friendship houses”, worth VND 50 million each, to needy volunteers.
