According to the report from the Department of Press and Publications under the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education, the quality of press publications during the lunar New Year was quite good, featuring the celebration of the festival, the nation and the Party's achievements, in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh, trust in and aspirations for the country’s prosperity and the people’s happiness, and honoring the traditional cultural values of the nation.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang emphasized that the country, as well as the world, will face many difficulties and challenges in the coming time. Among the common difficulties are those encountered by press agencies such as decreased income from advertisement, while there are many tasks. Therefore, press agencies need to confront difficulties and challenges directly, he stressed. They should develop strategies to create new and more attractive products, better manage journalists, and improve the quality of press publications. Press agencies, especially major ones representing the voice of the Party and the State, must provide standardized information.

In his remarks, Nguyen Trong Nghia commended the results of press activities in 2023 and the information dissemination work during the lunar New Year 2024 by press agencies.

The Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education affirmed that 2024 is a significant year in implementing the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and preparing for the 14th National Party Congress, marking the commemorations of many important events of the country. Therefore, the press agencies need to focus on effectively disseminating information about the implementation of the socio-economic tasks in 2024. They should urgently plan and actively implement the dissemination of resolutions, conclusions, directives, and policies of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the government. This should be done based on reality, contributing to reflecting, giving opinions, creating, and spreading positive and humane values in the society.

He urged press agencies to be determined to build a professional, humane, and modern press and to truly implement a cultural environment within press agencies.
