The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has decided to set off fireworks at only two sites in the City to celebrate the 36th Anniversary of the Reunification Day (April 30th), instead of last year’s 6 sites, in order to practice thrift.
Accordingly, fireworks will be displayed for 15 minutes on the night of April 30th at Thu Thiem Ward, District 2, and at the Dam Sen Culture Park in District 11.
Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee issued an directive on thrift. The cutting-down of firework display sites is one of many activities and programs in response to the new directive.
On the occasion of the 36th Anniversary of the Reunification Day, many other cultural and sports activities will be held throughout the City.
