Fallen combatants for protection of Hoang Sa Archipelago commemorated

PANO - A ceremony to commemorate the fallen soldiers and sailors of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Flotilla and the Quang Ngai Sea and Island Cultural Week 2013 will be held from April 25^th - 29^th in Quang Ngai Province.

The commemoration festival will take place on Ly Son Island district on April 27^th – 28^th with many special rites, including the worship of four supernatural creatures (dragon, unicorn, tortoise and phoenix), requiem celebrating the dead, flower garlands and the release of coloured lanterns.

Meanwhile, during the Quang Ngai Sea and Island Cultural Week 2013, there will be an international scientific seminar on seas, islands, an artistic photo exhibition, fine art works, folk games, and children's painting contest on the sea and islands.
