The vote, part of the parliament's ongoing 10th session, saw 412 out of 412 deputies in attendance approve, representing 100% of those present and 86.92% of the full legislature.

The resolution took effect immediately the same day.

On November 4, the N.A. Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the Politburo’s personnel decision for the position of Standing Vice Secretary of the N.A. Party Committee.

Under the decision, Do Van Chien, who was Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and Central Mass Organizations, and President of the VFF Central Committee, stepped down from the Secretariat of the 13th Party Central Committee, as well as from his roles in the Party Committee of the VFF and Central Mass Organizations for the 2020–2025 term and related leadership positions.

He was assigned to join the Standing Board of the N.A. Party Committee and serve as its Standing Vice Secretary for the 2020–2025 tenure.
