PANO - These days, on islands of Truong Sa (Spratly) special zone (Khanh Hoa province), officers and staff of Fisheries Surveillance Group No.3 have stayed ready for combat, contributing to the firm protection of national sovereignty over sea and islands, while actively participating in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and people’s councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Despite carrying out patrol tasks in assigned waters to prevent illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, officers and crew-members aboard the vessels have strictly upheld their civic rights and responsibilities by taking part in the election.

Bui Duy Minh, captain of ship KN365, shared that the election is a particularly important political event for the country and a festival of the whole people. Therefore, the ship has thoroughly briefed officers and personnel on the significance of the election, while encouraging them to carefully study and learn about the candidates before casting their ballots.

Ballots cast at sea not only demonstrate the sacred rights and duties of citizens, but also affirm the responsibility and confidence of the fisheries surveillance force in the country’s development. They also underscore the determination to firmly safeguard national sovereignty over sea and islands.
