Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Vietnam–Slovakia Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City Bui Quang Hai said the program helped recall the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while strengthening people-to-people exchanges and cultural ties.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam noted that the event took place as Vietnam and the Czech Republic begin implementing their Strategic Partnership established in 2025, contributing to enhanced cooperation and mutual understanding between the people of Vietnam, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The program, themed “Vietnam–Czech–Slovakia Friendship Journey,” featured Eastern European folk dances and musical performances of popular songs from the 1970s to the 1990s by members of local friendship associations.
