Reportedly, the 4th contest attracted over 500 entries from more than 50 press agencies across the country. Of these, 45% were written by journalists, while 55% came from experts, scholars, senior officials, commanders from various units and leaders from localities. The entries closely adhered to the contest theme and regulations, addressing a broad and in-depth range of topics in line with Resolution No.35-NQ/TW, issued on October 22, 2018, by the 12th Politburo.

Major General Doan Xuan Bo, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief and Head of the contest’s organizing panel addresses the event.

Delivering his speech, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief and Head of the contest’s organizing panel, emphasized that the contest had a wide impact and continued to receive participation from journalists, lecturers, scientists, commanders, and leaders nationwide. Notably, the quality of the entries has significantly improved.

Senior Colonel Le Ngoc Long, PAN’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Standing Deputy Head of the organizing panel, noted that in addition to theoretical essays by scholars clarifying the core principles of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s thought, many works reflected real-life issues and promptly fought against wrongful viewpoints and plots of hostile forces.

The jury selected 30 outstanding works to receive awards in three categories: central, local, and journal press agencies, consisting of three first, six second, nine third, and 12 consolation prizes. The organizing panel also commended three press agencies that submitted many high-quality entries.
