The Prime Minister issued an instruction on September 19 to ministries and ministerial-level agencies to draft a project to reform administrative procedures.

The Governmental Office is in charge of coordinating with other involved agencies to draw up a draft resolution to simplify administrative procedures in areas instructed by the Prime Minister in Document 142/VPCP-TH in January 9, 2007, Circular 19/TB-VPCP on January 26, 2007 and Circular 71/TB-VPCP on April 12, 2007.

This move aims to prune unnecessary and inappropriate administrative procedures and regulations having been issued in governmental papers before. It is also expected to make it much easier for people and businesses to contact public bodies and to do business.

All ministries and ministerial-level bodies are responsible for revising their procedures and regulations in line with Decision 30/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister on January 10, 2007. They will then pass proposals to the Governmental Office, which will summarise them and hand a report to the Prime Minister before November 15, 2007.
