The launching ceremony was attended by a large number of embassy staff, representatives of the Khmer - Vietnam Association in Cambodia (KVA), the Vietnam - Cambodia Business Association (VCBA), Vietnamese enterprises, students studying in Cambodia, philanthropists, and members of the Vietnamese community in the country.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu called on the community to join hands to assist those affected by the disasters. He stressed that regardless of the amount, each donation represents a valuable contribution and a strong source of encouragement for compatriots at home to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and restore production.

At the event, financial donations equivalent to over 1 billion VND (37,951 USD) were raised, with contributions continuing to be received until October 10.

Later the same day, at the KVA headquarters, a fundraising program for the same cause took place, attracting many overseas Vietnamese, people of Vietnamese origin, and students. Through the initiative, the KVA collected around 3,000 USD and plans to continue organizing similar activities to support flood victims in Vietnam in the near future.
