Vietnamese embassy in Israel urges enhanced safety measures amidst Middle East tensions
As the conflict involving the U.S., Israel and Iran entered its fourth day with increasingly complex developments, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has issued a notice urging members of the Vietnamese community to heighten vigilance and strictly comply with local security regulations.

The embassy noted that the involvement of Hezbollah forces in Lebanon has raised the risk of escalation on multiple fronts, while casualties from ongoing hostilities are showing signs of increasing. Israel is also entering the Purim holiday period, which typically involves large public gatherings. However, under current guidance from the Israel Home Front Command, all mass gatherings for Purim celebrations are prohibited, including those in shelters, to ensure maximum safety.
Security restrictions are currently in effect until 8:00 p.m. on March 7, 2026. Israeli authorities will continue to assess the situation and may adjust their guidance as necessary before that time.
To safeguard lives and property, the embassy has called on Vietnamese nationals to strictly observe local regulations, regularly monitor updates from the Israel Home Front Command, minimize inter-city travel, and remain close to designated shelters. Citizens are also advised to proactively prepare safety plans for themselves and their families and be ready to follow official instructions regarding possible relocation.
The embassy recommended that the community maintain regular contact with the representative mission. In case of emergencies or requests for consular assistance, citizens may contact the embassy via the following hotlines: +972 55 502 5616 and +972 50 878 3373.
Earlier, on March 2, Chargé d’Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel Nghiem Xuan Hai Dang said that so far, no Vietnamese nationals had been reported injured or killed in the recent missile attacks. Since the outbreak of tensions in the Middle East on February 28, the embassy has activated its emergency response mechanism, maintained a 24/7 duty roster, provided hourly updates and regularly issued safety advisories through official channels.
Efforts to review and update citizen lists by residential area are ongoing. Vietnamese nationals have been urged to stay in close contact with the embassy and promptly notify it of any changes in residence or emergency situations.
