During the meetings, the diplomat acknowledged and appreciated the responsible contribution of the group to the community, particularly in healthcare, education, culture, and mother-tongue promotion. Tam said their efforts serve as a crucial bridge in strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. He also underscored the importance of engaging young OVs in community activities, investing in private hospitals in Laos, and preserving the Vietnamese language and cultural heritage.
The ambassador affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always prioritize OV communities, including those in Laos, considering them an inseparable part of the nation and an essential resource for national development. The embassy will continue to provide support, ensuring that the expatriates can live stably, integrate well, and contribute meaningfully to both countries, he noted.
For their part, the families pledged to uphold the laws and policies of both nations, integrate effectively into Lao society, and further contribute to the development of Vietnam and Laos.
