In the Ark Oval Primary Academy, founded over 150 years ago, 67 languages of 40 countries are used. This was the third time this school hosted such a lunar New Year celebration in order to introduce the diversity of cultures and honor typical differences among traditional festivals to 600 students and instructors.

The association is proud of introducing the beauty of Vietnamese culture to the students here. |
At this year’s event, students had chances to exchange and learn about Vietnamese’s Tet customs, such as banh chung (square sticky rice cakes), apricot and peach blossoms, ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress), conical hats, and lucky money.
During the celebration, British Born Vietnamese, a young talent group with Vietnamese-U.K. members, popularized the image of a friendly, joyful and radiant Vietnam and its people through the traditional Tet decorations at the school, via songs, dances and stories about Vietnamese Tet with all the love and pride of the original culture of Vietnam that is very close and easy to understand among international friends right in the heart of London.
