The three teams are on duty for the search and collection of martyrs’ remains in Khammouane, Savannakhet, Saravane and Sekong provinces of Laos.

From October 12, 2023, to April 10, 2024, the three teams collected 37 sets of martyrs’ remains in Khammouane, Savannakhet, Saravane and Sekong provinces of Laos.  Additionally, during the task performance, the teams helped local people in production activities and provided free medicines and necessities for the locals, thereby consolidating the people’s trust and receiving more support from local authorities, the armed forces and people in Lao.

After the inspection, Lt. Gen. Ha Tho Binh underscored the significance of the search and collection of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who laid down their lives in Laos. He required the three search and collection teams to heighten their determination and responsibility and promote collaboration with Laos’ Special Working Committees to accomplish their assignments.

Meanwhile, they should strictly observe the regulations in performing tasks of defense external affairs, enhance mass mobilization work and support local people during task performance in Laos.

Also, the team should closely follow the direction of MR4’s Steering Committee 515 and team up with the Special Working Committees of Lao provinces to make good preparations for the repatriation and memorial and burial services for martyrs’ remains gathered in the 2023-2024 dry season.
