HCM City leaders honor fallen heroes on April 30 anniversary
A high-ranking delegation representing the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and armed forces paid tribute to heroic Vietnamese mothers and martyrs who made sacrifices for the nation's independence and freedom and people's happiness laid down their lives at the city martyrs' cemetery located in the nameless hill area of Thu Duc city, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025).
The delegation was led by Politburo member and Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, and joined by a delegation from the Party Committee of Military Region 7 Command.

Following the official tribute, delegates lit incense at the individual graves of the martyrs in a gesture of remembrance and gratitude.
The delegation then proceeded to the Ho Chi Minh City Cemetery in Lac Canh, Thu Duc city, to lay wreaths and offer further tributes.
Elsewhere, a separate delegation, led by Central Party Committee member and Standing Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi, paid respects at the Ben Duoc martyrs’ memorial, the Cu Chi district martyrs' cemetery, and the memorial house of Heroic Vietnamese Mother and People's Armed Forces Hero Nguyen Thi Ranh.
On the same day, representatives from various city departments and agencies, along with veteran organizations, retired police officers, and a large number of citizens from HCM City and other provinces nationwide, visited and paid tribute at the local Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ton Duc Thang Museum, and the aforementioned memorial sites.
