Earlier, at 5:30, while being anchored in An Thoi Bay, Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province, the trawler suffered from heavy rains, strong winds, and high waves, leading to the break of anchor rope.

The stranded trawler

It drifted on shore and got stranded. Immediately, the trawler's owner contacted the Naval Region 5 Command for emergency help.

Upon receiving the news, at 13:00, the Naval Region 5 Command sent Ship 470 of Naval Squadron 512, Brigade 127 and troops to rush to the scene for rescue missions.

After two hours, the rescue team pulled the distress trawler out of the stranded area.

* On the same day in Ca Mau, Dat Mui Border Post sent troops, in collaboration with local fishermen, to tow a stranded trawler at sea.

* Earlier, at 9:00 on June 22, the unit received a request to pull CM 92581 TS out of a shoal in the waters about 8 nautical miles Southwest of Dat Mui seaport. The trawler, owned by Le Van Danh from Kinh Hon hamlet, Khanh Binh Tay commune, Tran Van Thoi district, with nine crew-members on board, get stranded while conducting fishing activities at the mentioned area.

On receiving the request, the unit mobilized two vehicles operating nearby and an additional vehicle under the Safety Shio Group of Dat Mui commune, together with 4 crew-members and 4 troops of the unit, to the scene for rescue missions.

At 11:00 on June 23, the team successfully pulled the troubled trawler out of a shoal and took crew-members ashore safely.
