Troops help people overcome consequences of landslides
PANO - Military Region 1 has mobilized its troops to help local people surmount a landslide aftermath in Thai Nguyen province.

Earlier, downpours on May 30 and 31 in the province sparked serious landslides in Na Quan hamlet, Nam Hoa commune, Dong Hy district, and left three people dead.
Immediately, the Military Region 1 Command directed its Thai Nguyen provincial Military Command and Engineering Brigade 575 for a search and rescue mission.
The two units then sent over 100 officers and soldiers with vehicles to the scene to evacuate local victims and their property to safe areas, and join hands with local forces to overcome consequences of landslides.
On the morning of May 31, the rescue team found all dead bodies and supported their families to conduct a burial service.
Right after the flood water went down, the troops continued to assist local residents to carry their furnishings, clean up houses and the surrounding environment to soon stabilize their life.
