* Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy-Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army visited  Brigade 1 of the Commando Corps on February 9.

General Nghia highly valued the task performance of the unit, especially in maintaining combat readiness posture, conducting well all Party and political work, and building a strong party organization and a comprehensively strong unit.

Extending Tet greetings to the brigade, General Nghia asked them to continuously better their combat plans, promote training and combat readiness quality, and improve their troops’ living standards.

* The General Department of Logistics held a get-together for its former senior leaders and relatives. In recent days, the unit sent delegations to visit and present gifts to local authorities and poor households in areas where they are stationed before the Tet holiday.

* The Signal Corps, Regiment 935 of the Air Defense and Air Force Service, the Dong Nai provincial Martyr Families Support Association, the Dak Nong provincial Military Command, Division 5 of Military Region 7, and the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command have spent billions of VND to support needy officers and their relatives and local national contributors as well as to present gifts to its affiliated units in action.

* Delegations of the Naval Academy and the Quang Tri provincial Military Command visited policy beneficiaries in Khanh Hoa province and troops stationed on Con Co island district (Quang Tri), respectively.
