Trawler in distress saved at sea
PANO - The Vietnam Maritime Rescue Coordination Center successfully assisted a distressed trawler with ten fishermen on board on Sept. 19.

At 14:30 on Sept. 19, the distressed trawler, numbered TH 93666 TS, captained by Nguyen Van Ty from Thanh Lap hamlet, Ngu Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province with five fishermen on board, was found to be going adrift due to an engine failure in Da Nang waters.
After transferring the captain and crew and docking at Quy Nhan fishing port (Binh Dinh province), military doctors from Binh Dinh Provincial Border Guard gave first aid to the crewmen and the Vietnam Maritime Rescue Coordination Center presented gifts to fishermen and; all six are now recovering from their ordeal.
