One notable model is “Bringing legal knowledge to border residents,” designed to suit local conditions and ensure accessibility and effectiveness. Through mobile communication vehicles and bilingual broadcasts (Vietnamese and ethnic languages), legal knowledge such as the Law on National Border, Law on Marriage and Family, and Law on Cybersecurity is delivered in a vivid and relatable way. Nguyen Thi Thoa, from Ka Non 1 village, A Luoi 4 commune, Hue city, shared “The soldiers’ communication is very useful. Whether we are working or at home, we can still hear it. It helps us better understand the law and remind our family members to comply.”

Young volunteer intellectuals from Defense-Economic Unit 92 conduct legal awareness activities for local residents.

Alongside dissemination efforts, Unit 92 has effectively implemented economic development and poverty reduction models, notably “Party cells and members supporting poor households.” Each party cell assigns members to assist one or two disadvantaged households, providing not only material aid but also long-term guidance on livelihoods. Regular visits, encouragement, and gifts during holidays help motivate families to improve their lives.

Pham Van The, Secretary of the Production Team 3 of Unit 92, stated that this is a key political task, with clear assignments and regular supervision to ensure real effectiveness. Thanks to such timely support, many households have gradually overcome difficulties. Ho Van Ich, a resident in Ba Lach village, A Luoi 4 commune, touchingly said: “With the soldiers’ support, my family has more motivation to work and our life is becoming more stable.”

Unit 92 has also launched other meaningful initiatives such as “Providing livelihoods to border residents,” “Model civil-military roads,” and “Lighting up villages.” Clean roads and electric lighting have improved living conditions, transformed rural border areas and enhanced the quality of life of local residents.

Through these practical efforts, Unit 92 with its typical models has not only enhanced local people’s livelihoods and awareness but also strengthened public trust in the Party, the State, and the military, contributing to a strong people’s heart-based defense posture along the national border.
