The event is part of the activities within the art program “Lullaby of Comradeship” to be held by the PAN on July 21 to mark the 71st anniversary of the Vietnam Wounded Soldiers’ and Martyrs’ Day (July 27) and 50th anniversary of the Dong Loc Junction Victory (July 24).

The program aims to promote the tradition of paying gratitude to heroic sacrifices of predecessors in the struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as to honor the country’s heroes, veterans and families of national contributors.

Addressing the ceremony, PAN's Vice Editor-in-Chief, Senior Colonel Phung Kim Lan, permanent deputy head of the organizing panel, head of the working delegation, expressed gratitude to the heroic female youth volunteers, who had sacrificed their lives for the glorious Dong Loc Junction Victory.

In addition, he stated that the PAN, alongside its core mission of popularizing the Party’s guideline, State’s policies, defense-security missions and other major issues, regularly and actively organizes various social activities, especially gratitude ones. The Newspaper’s efforts have been acknowledged and praised by the Party, the State, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Labor Invalids and Social Affairs, and people.

On the occasion, the working delegation also presented gifts to the management board of the relic site, Heroine of the Armed Forces La Thi Tam, former youth volunteer Nguyen Thi Huong and offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh, youth volunteer martyrs of the country and 10 fallen female youth volunteers of the Dong Loc Junction.
