One more person among Quang Binh’s distressed fishermen taken ashore
PANO - On May 14, the Border Post of Gianh Port Border Gate of the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command received Pham Ba Dung, a fisherman on trawler QB 98768 TS which sank on May 3.
The fisherman is from Lien Truong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.

He was among the 13 fishermen who were saved by functional forces and nearby trawlers. Having been taken ashore, the Border Post of Gianh Port Border Gate inquired after the fisherman and provided health examination for him. The unit presented a gift to Nguyen Van Phuong, owner of QB 98770 TS, in praise of his activeness in rescuing troubled fishermen.

Earlier from May 1 to 3, four fishing vessels from Quang Binh province with 24 fishermen on board got into distress at sea due to whirlwind. The Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command, in collaboration with local authorities, functional agencies, and fishing ships conducted the search and rescue. So far, 13 have been saved while one was found dead, and 10 are still missing.
