Nghe An troops help locals overcome whirlwind’s consequences
PANO - On May 4, the People’s Committee of Thanh Binh Tho commune (Nghe An province) reported that the military, militia, and local on-site forces were urgently helping residents overcome the consequences of heavy rains and whirlwind, accompanied by hailstones, that occurred on the evening of the previous day.
Earlier, heavy rains and whirlwind lasting about 30 minutes across the commune caused severe damage. Fist-sized hailstones shattered roofs of many houses, while strong whirlwind tore off roofs of other houses and public works. Immediately, local authorities mobilized forces to assess the damage and support people in overcoming the aftermath.
