MR4’s armed forces conduct natural disaster relief in Thua Thien - Hue
PANO – Torrential rains in Thua Thien - Hue province have made flood water levels continue to rise, inundated numerous areas in the locality. In this context, the provincial Military Command mobilized all forces and vehicles to support disaster-hit people and provide them with food and drinking water.
Currently, several areas have still been flooded and isolated, including communes of the districts of Phong Dien, Quang Dien, Huong Tra, and Phu Loc, and Hue city. By 12:00 a.m. of October 12, flooding had left three deaths, two missing, and seven injured while inundating nearly 59,000 houses.

The Military Region (MR) 4 Command has established a forward command post to direct the local armed forces to deal with the situation. It also delivered 1,200 packs of instant noodle and two tons of rice to the flood-hit people.
The Thua Thien - Hue provincial armed forces mobilized 1,867 troops, 10,794 militiamen, 264 vehicles, 139 boats, and nine armored vehicles to evacuate locals to safe areas as well as transport necessities to them.
In addition, the coastal border guard posts collaborated with the local authorities to assist fishermen in mooring and tying up their boats.
