During the event, the organizing panel paid tribute to fallen soldiers at Martyrs’ Monument of Ma Luong commune; provided free health check-up, consultation, and medicine for policy beneficiaries, national contributors, and needy households; presented two houses to locals in need.

In addition, units presented more than 250 gift packages to policy beneficiaries, poor households, needy students with good academic results; held a banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) wrapping festival; granted necessities to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and students; organized a festival, during which participants played folk games and attended culture and sports exchanges.
Speaking at the event, Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board Colonel Tran Viet Nang said that over the past time under the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, units in the whole military have cooperated with local Party committees, authorities, and people to carry out various social welfare activities to help poor people overcome difficulties.

Providing local people with healthcare checkups |
Through activities within the program, the organizers expect to partly help needy people overcome difficulties, popularize the beautiful image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and consolidate solidarity between troops and people. Those activities are opportunity for troops to disseminate the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies to local people.
The program is to educate troops and youth about the traditional culture of the nation, arouse their sympathy for those in need, and encourage them to fulfill assigned missions to firmly protect political security, public order, and the socialism.
