Military units are instructed to maintain combat readiness, closely monitor the storm’s progress, adjust response plans, and prepare personnel and equipment. Safety measures for barracks, warehouses, and ongoing construction projects are required to ensure absolute safety against storm-related impacts.

Military regions 1 through 5 and the Hanoi Capital Command are tasked with collaborating with local authorities to inspect vulnerable areas prone to flooding, landslides, and flash floods. These units are also required to assist local residents with house protection and relocation from dangerous areas, while coordinating with local forces to help mitigate Typhoon Yagi’s impact.

The Vietnam Border Guard Command is directed to monitor coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Binh Dinh provinces, coordinate with local authorities, ensure the safety of vessels, and organize the evacuation of residents in affected areas. Naval and coast guard forces are similarly ordered to safeguard their maritime operations and prepare for search and rescue missions.

The Air Defense - Air Force Service, along with Corps 18, are also asked to prepare aircraft for search and rescue operations, when ordered by the Ministry of National Defense.

All army corps, academies, schools, and corporations are advised to coordinate with local authorities and get prepared for disaster response. The General Department of Political Affairs is tasked with directing military media outlets, including the People's Army Newspaper and the Military Broadcasting Center, to cover military efforts in aiding civilians and participating in search and rescue operations.
