Free health check-ups given to people in Cao Son commune |
This was part of the school’s practical activities to pay gratitude to revolutionary contributors, policy beneficiaries, wounded soldiers, and relatives of fallen soldiers on the occasion of the 73rd Vietnamese Wounded Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day (July 27). It was also to strengthen the relations between the schools’ personnel and local people.
Apart from free medical examinations, the mission also equipped local people with measures to prevent diseases and stay healthy.
On the same day, the General Department of Technical Services launched an environmental protection program in Long An commune of Dong Nai province’s Long Thanh district and gave free health check-ups and medicines to local policy beneficiaries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Son, Deputy Political Chief of the general department said that the program was part of the activities in response to the “Army joins hands to build new-style rural areas” movement and “Army joins hands for public health” drive. The event also marked the Party Congresses at all levels in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress, the “Determined-to-Win” emulation congress for the 2015-2020 period, the 73rd Vietnamese Wounded Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day, and the 46th anniversary of the foundation day of the force.
