Military units presents semi-boarding house to school
PANO - A semi-boarding house has been handed over to the Primary and Secondary School of Luong Mong commune, Ba Che district, Quang Ninh province by the Military Commands of Quang Ninh province and Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) in Ba Che district, and other self-defense battalions of the coal sector.

The inaugural ceremony of the house took place when the school started the new academic year 2021-2022.
The 145sq.m semi-boarding house has four self-contained, fully-furnished rooms and each room has two toilets and a bathroom. The house was constructed at a cost of VND 1.6 billion with VND 1.2 billion donated by the aforementioned units. Troops from Ba Che district Military Command and militia force of Luong Mong commune contributed 145 working days to build the house.
According to teacher Ngo Thuy Nga, more than 100 students living in the house come from the Tay and Dao ethnic groups in the mountainous commune of Luong Mong. They live far from the school; therefore, the house is their second home, helping them focus on their study.
The house is the fifth facilities that the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command and the Vinacomin Military Command have jointly raised fund to build for Ba Che district.
Senior Colonel Le Van Long, Commanding Officer of the provincial Military Command, said that the construction of the house demonstrates the provincial armed forces’ responsibility to the community and their sharing with local ethnic minorities and disadvantaged children.
