Military units care for the needy
PANO - A delegation of Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns under Vietnam Military Medical University provided free health check-ups, medicines, health counseling and gifts to 1,000 policy beneficiaries and poor people in Tan Uyen district, Lai Chau province.

On this occasion, the delegation presented televisions to Muong Hoa Kindergarten (in Tan Uyen town) and the district’s medical station; and 690 outfits, 2,000 notebooks, 500 pens, 100 school-bags, 90 blankets and 10 gift packages to local policy beneficiaries. The gifts and medicines, worth nearly VND 600 million, were donated by the institute’s personnel.
* Women of the Engineer Corps teamed up with Brigades 72 and 279 carried out similar activities for policy households and needy people in the communes of Xuan Chinh, Xuan Le of Thuong Xuan district and Thanh Quan commune of Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province. The gifts were valued at VND 26 million.
This was part of gratitude activities of the engineer troops in general and women of the Engineer Corps in particular, contributing to strengthening solidarity between soldiers and people.
