Due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in the capital, the Hanoi Municipal Department of Health decided to conduct a large-scale COVID-19 testing campaign for citizens in high-risk areas of the city. The campaign is expected to detect COVID-19 infected cases and prevent the pandemic from spreading to the community.

In response to the proposal of the municipal Department of Health, Military Hospital 103 set up 20 teams to collaborate with the local agencies to implement the campaign in the districts of My Duc and Thanh Oai. According to the campaign’s organizers, the two-day event will collect about 4,000 test samples.

On August 18, the medical personnel of Military Hospital 103 conducted nearly 3,000 COVID-19 tests for locals in Thanh Oai district. The test results will then be reported to the city’s health department within 24 hours.

Below are a number of photos taken on the first day of the campaign.
