For ten years, the naval troops and workers and staff of Phu My Fertilizer Plant under the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) have established and fostered their close relationship and sentiments.

Over the past time, the plant has presented many practical gifts and meaningful constructions to the brigade, contributing to modernizing the most modern surface ship unit of the Naval Service, such as Phu My Fertilizer Garden at a monument dedicated to political prisoners in Cam Ranh, Phu My Fertilizer fish pond, and fitness facility, to name but a few.

Notably, they have also handed over small but meaningful gifts like wide-brimmed hats to the naval troops to help them perform tasks in the harsh weather conditions. Besides, a 45-seat bus has also been presented to the unit to serve their assigned tasks.

According to Mr. Le Trong Dinh Chi, Director of Phu My Fertilizer Plant, they wanted to share difficulties with the naval troops during their task implementation. Over the past ten years, they have been well aware of the naval troops’ task requirements of protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands, thereby spreading love for sea and islands to the plant’s staff.

The close ties between military troops and civilians have also contributed to encouraging the naval troops to overcome difficulties so as to best perform their training and combat readiness missions.

Since the relationship’s establishment in 2013, leaders of the unit and plant have regularly organized exchanges and presented gifts to needy troops.

Political Commissar of Brigade 162 Naval Captain Mai Van Doanh held that love for the sea and islands is the decisive factor in building the people’s heart and people’s security postures at sea and areas where they are stationed. It also helps boost military-civilian ties in protecting the national sovereignty over sea and islands.
