Military-civilian solidarity in remote areas
PANO - Performing duties in remote areas where ethnic minority groups are living in difficult socio-economic conditions, Brigade 72 under the Engineering Corps has actively supported local authorities in building new-style rural areas.
Recently, a delegation of Brigade 72 inquired after the family of Mrs. Bui Thi Dung (wife of a martyr) in An Thinh village, Thanh Son Commune, Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province. Mrs. Dung was touched and shared that thanks to the gratitude house built by Brigade 72 and local authorities, her family overcame difficulties to stabilize her life.
As reported, the Engineering Corps Command contributed VND 80 million and Brigade 72 donated VND 40 million to the construction of the house.
Building gratitude houses for needy people is one of the brigade’s activities to promote the military-civilian solidarity. Recently, the brigade has regularly maintained the model’s activities, made specific regulations and mapped out concrete plans to effectively implement mass mobilization work, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security.
In addition, Brigade 72 has closely worked with local authorities to build and upgrade rural infrastructure facilities, prevent and fight forest fire, deal with natural disaster consequences and conduct search and rescue missions in the areas where the unit is stationed.
According to Mrs. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, Head of Kim Boi district’s Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, Brigade 72 has actively engaged in activities to build new-style rural areas in the district. The brigade’s model for promoting military-civilian solidarity deserves to be a highlight of mass mobilization work in the locality.
With remarkable achievements in mass mobilization work, for many years in a row, Brigade 72 has received certificates of merit from the General Department of Political Affairs.
