Mass mobilization in the army gains outstanding achievements

Accordingly, military units spent more than 1 million working days on repairing or upgrading around 4,700km of rural roads, 3,460km of irrigation canals, 2,702 houses, 735 schools, and 302 bridges. Moreover, troops assisted locals in taking care of forest, harvesting crops, eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, and eradicating illiteracy. They also visited and presented gifts and houses to needy locals, students, dignities and parishioners, ethnic minority residents, and officers.  

Last year, military units mobilized more than 60,500 troops and militiamen and over 3,500 tools and vehicles to conduct search and rescue missions.

Those social activities were acknowledged by local Party committees, authorities, and people, and remarkably contributed to firmly defending political security and raising the efficiency of the movement “Army joins efforts to build new-style rural areas”.
