Local armed forces active in surmounting flood consequences
PANO – Heavy rain on August 15, 16 and 17 in the Northern province of Quang Ninh has caused landslides and flooding in several areas.
Particularly, heavy rains in Ha Long city on August 17 flooded many wards such as Ha Khanh, Ha Khau, Hong Ha, Ha Trung and Ha Lam.
The Ha Long municipal Military Command mobilized 20 troops and local militiamen to evacuate people to safe places.

In Cam Pha city, several areas were flooded after torrential rain on the evening of August 17. The city’s Military Command mobilized 10 troops and 25 militiamen to move people and their assets out of the flooded areas.
The Quang Ninh provincial Military Command directed the military commands of towns, cities, and districts, especially in the affected localities, to deploy forces to help locals evacuate to safe places and prevent people and vehicles from entering dangerous areas.
In addition, all units have been required to closely follow weather developments and maintain on-duty forces and vehicles to deal with any emerging situations.
